If BJ Penn fights and loses to Sean Sherk...

He should not be considered a great fighter rather a fighter that showed a lot of potential but was not willing to dedicate himself to the sport. NO MORE EXCUSES! How can you make any since he has lost to Hughes, St Pierre and, if he loses, Sherk? A guy with as much talent as BJ has to re-gain a belt, hold it for a long time or relinquish the title and get yet another title at another weight class. "Prodigy" has to mean something. It cannot be wasted on a fighter who is not dedicated. NO MORE EXCUSES, IF HE LOSES!!

BTW, I hope he wins!

I believe that BJ is moving back up to 170. So he won't be fighting Sherk anytime soon.

If your dad pulled out this thread would not have been posted.

if bj loses to every fighter for the rest of his life, he will still be considered the best p4p fighter in the world.

You just made an excuse. Why if he loses to Sherk would that mean he didn't dedicate himself to the sport? He could still train his ass off and get beaten by Sherk.

Somehow I don't see Sherk getting passed BJ.

As Josh Gross would say: "You're an idiot".

BJ's most likely moving to 170 anyway, so they probably wont end up fighting anytime soon.

I like the fight if BJ fights Sherk. Bj has a lot of strength for a 155 so that negates Sherk's strength. I don't really want to see Bj at 170. Lots of good matchups at 155.
