He beats Nog, really beats him, then yeah... Fighter of the year and hall of fame for him. If he subs Nog in MMA, he's god. Now, most likely those things won't happen... Nog can't fight that bad twice (and even so, it was a very close decision that could have gone either way). |

Beating Nog is definitely bigger than winning OWGP (beating 3 MWs and 1 HW). Picture this, only Fedor had done it (no, Henderson doesn't count. That was BS) |

CC is human, he loses from time to time, get KOed, etc. Nog is not human. Only loses to Fedor and by decision. Beating Nog = making history in MMA. |

He certainly did not beat the daylights out of Penn. His win over Hughes was impressive but 2 victories, only one of which was impresive, is not enough to win fighter of the year, that award goes to Cro Cop.
Cro Cop went 4-0 beating Minowa (OK it was expected). But he was the first fighter to finish Yoshida, and he did so effortlessly. He also destroyed both Silva and Barnett in the first round in the same night.
The only other fighter I can think of who could challege Cro Cop for that title is Barnett, who if he defeats Nog again will go 6-1 this year, but again he got dominated by Cro Cop in the GP. |
