I will never pay for another UFC PPV...
...after witnessing last night's title-fight decision.
While you can say "the UFC is not to blame", that ignores than they were once in a position to prevent judging of this kind.
While you can say, "You have to clearly beat the champ" that ignores that outpointing is "clearly beating" and that there is no such thing as "contextual" judging. If a fighter has to KO or sub the champ to win, there may as well not be a fight at all since the odds are unfairly stacked in one fighter's favour.
While you can say, "Shogun will get a rematch" Shogun should not have to win two championship fights to become champ. Also this puts Machida at an advantage since he can study the first fight and make adjustments, and then claim the 1st fight was an anomaly. It favours Machida again.
While you can say, "Q_Q more Shogun nuthugger" this kind of crap goes beyond nuthuggery and into what is just.
The only just thing that can happen is for the CSAC to overturn the decision, thereby stripping Machida of the LHW title and rightfully awarding it to Shogun. Of course, this will not happen and both Shogun's successes and Machida being exposed will be minimized due to the Zuffa marketing machine.
A truly dark day in MMA history.
