No, I'm pretty sure Ken was a multimillionaire before Dana was involved with the UFC; those WWE contracts pay pretty well.

Actually, Shamrock made Dana a few million as well. It was a mutually beneficial business decision. Saying that he made Shamrock a millionaire makes it sound like he is the one solely responsible for the people buying Shamrock PPV's. Yes, he is responsible, but not completely. Give a little credit to the old man(Shamrock).

I've agreed with Dana a lot in the past, but this last couple months, he's just saying all the wrong things to me.

The more and more he talks like he is god and uses the words "I own them" about UFC fighters, takes responsibility for others success, and refers to the entire UFC organization as 'me' or "I" the more annoyed I am getting with him.

I've always been what's considered a 'dana supporter', but lately, c'mon man, just fuck off for awhile and come back when you are ready to be a little more respectful to guys like Couture, Fedor, and the other fighters under contract that you - maybe unintentionally- insult with your thoughtless comments.

Yea, MMA and its success is all due to Dana White. Its not like the fighters actually bust their ass off, make leaps and bounds to become better fighters. Even other orginizations over seas and their success is almost all due to Dana White because honestly he "CHANGED MMA TO WHAT IT IS TODAY."

Get your head out of your ass people, Dana White is one man who works for one organization, sure he has helped the UFC but please do not give him sole credit for "Changing MMA to what it is today". If you want to list names of people who changed MMA in terms of larger importance, put names up like Sakuraba, Tito Ortiz, or Fedor ffs, those guys changed MMA, held MMA together, and showed that MMA is anything but backyard brawling but the best sport there is.

Am I the only one with a father that taught me never to talk about my own salary, let alone what other people earn? I always thought that kind of thing was tactless and ungentlemanly.

Okay, then list them. And most other start up orgs are a direct result from the sport being changed by Dana. If it wasn't for Dana/Zuffa, there would be no other sanctioned orgs in North America. That is fact.

Sure, Dana did it for the money, but he brought Ken back into the limelight after getting murdered by Franklin. It was a great mutual deal, Ken got to fight his mortal enemy and get paid a ton of cash.

No way Ken gets that kind of money without Dana giving him tons of shots at big name fighters and then a spot on TUF. Mutually profitable situations are what drive any business.
hate to tell you but Shammy did not get murdered by Franklin---obviously you didn't watch the fight. He had Franklin in deep trouble in a heel hook just seconds away from submitting him. Think before you speek young squire.

Last few posts here actually make sense.. Its more like Ken fighting in UFc 1 and 2 for peanuts is what made Dana a millionaire.. Dana has a big mouth..

Fight in the same card as Forrest vs Griffin I

Coach in TUF against Tito one fo the biggest UFC stars.

Main event Tito vs Ken II.

Ken vs Tito III for free, which remains as the most viewed fight in free TV ever.

Which other fighter gets this kind of treatment with a 1-3 record?

Dont think I ever saw when he fought on the same card as "Forrest vs Griffin I"

Who are these people?

Exactly. UFC 40 was the first MMA event I ever watched(Still one of my favorite events the UFC ever put on even though Shamrock lost). I also think the WWF and the fact that he's the head of The Lion's Den has something to do with Ken being a millionaire...Ken did Dana a favor by going back to the UFC so Dana could use Shamrock's name to sell PPVs. Prior to the TUF era Ken was the man who put asses in the seats. Ken could've easily just gone over and stayed in PRIDE(since he already fought there before) and made them money. Dana needs to quit trying to take the credit for every fighter's success.
