In reality this is a serious matter in multiple ways.


Gambling is legal in Nevada. Plenty of money is at stake. The UFC better not be doing things that effect the outcome of fights. It should be an even handed competition. Otherwise it needs to be labeled UFCE (WWE).

There are also plenty of companies with a lot at stake in regards to the outcome of a fight. Joe Lauzon and fighters like him have sponsors who are effected. They suffer just like Joe Lauzon.

Lastly, Joe Lauzon and others like him should not be exposed to referees allowing their opponents to blatantly break the rules. Rules which are put in place to protect fighters and ensure a fair competition.

Going by the rules all three cuts were to an illegal portion of the head.

It's the exact same thing. There is no verbage of 12 to 6, in the rules on the UFC website.

As stated before, a standing 12 to 6 positioning would only occur with a kneeling opponent. At that point why no just make the rule no downward elbow strikes to a kneeling opponent? Why? Because that's not what the rule is. The rule is no downward elbow point strikes. Period.


I wonder if any of the other rules require a certain positioning to take effect? Is head butting legal while on the ground? Eye gouging? Biting? Hair pulling?


This is ridiculous.

Other fighters must expose Dana and the BS. Other fighters need to use those elbow point strikes to prevent getting mounted. You will then see the rule begin to take effect and poster boys like Silva and Florian got away with murder.

Why haven't you fuckers figured out what "down" means yet? Drop something. It falls downward.
