Hype Machine vs Great Fights

From the front page of Sherdog News. I just read two articles complaining about the pre-fight hype and how the UFC did a poor job of promoting the Champion vs Champion at UFC 75. "A Battle They Didn't Build" and Long Awaited Unification Happen Too Soon. Do we really need to hold the hands of and cater to the less informed and less interested? After reading the before mentioned articles I went on to read another. "UFC75 Sets MMA Ratings Record In North America" in the article it also listed "Record Breaking Audience At O2 Arena". What more does the UFC have to do? Should they have let Dan Henderson walk out to the Octagon for severly fights carrying the title of the organization they worked so hard to destroy? I as an MMA fan do not need the HYPE Machine to influence me to watch an event. Just tell me the date and time and I will be there (tune in). Please give your feed back on the questions I have asked and any other comments I may have overlooked.

There was no bad blood, no controversy, especially with Rampage.

If you remember Rampage was like I'm going to know chuck the F*** out. But this time around he's like "I'm going try my best, its a win win for dan, he's a smaller guy blah blah blah"

Its most because they were friends, fights like Chuck vs Tito are the kind of hype that the article is talking about.

Most UFC fans don't know Dan Henderson, had they known who he was or seen his prior fights they would understand that this fight would be much greater than the Liddell fight or any other fights in the LHW division has seen in a VERY long time.
