Roger doesn't put ases in seats, or sell PPVs nearly as well as BJ does (I don't give a shit about Roger's appeal to Latin fans, he still doesn't sell like BJ). Can't wait to see him lose a couple fights in a row, and be forced to go begging for fights from orgs that can't last more then three PPV's before they go broke.
Ladies and Gents, your future King Of The Cage Champion, Roger "I couldn't keep my fucking greedy mouth shut" Huerta.

IF they signed Huerta...they should at least build up these two with some "warm up," fights first and slowly build a rivalry between them. Affliction? Are you listening? I'm giving you money making ideas here

what you think he should make, what an other fighter makes, are irrelevant to the salary that Huerta makes. Huerta will make based on whats percieved to be his bring in from PPV buys/ Lesnar is 1 -1 and he probably got paid more then fedor for his last fight, cause he brought a massive audience with him.
The UFC has been pushing huerta as someone to bring in the Mexican fan base, so they should pay him more, they made him a bigger star, and bigger stars cost more.

Huerta is undefeated because he has been fighting sub-par competition, just like most of Diego Sanchez's fights before he was given the top of his division and began to lose. The UFC inflates these guys so much into thinking they're invincible, and the UFC knows that Huerta will begin to lose just like Sanchez did when he starts to fight the best in the division.
That is the reason why the UFC isn't going to pay anywhere what Huerta is looking for. Maybe the UFC shouldn't give these new fighters easy fights and bring them down to earth before their heads get too big.

How is that a better deal than Penn? He made 250K guaranteed to fight Sherk. If more fighters demanded things more often fighter pay would go up. I think Huerta should get a 100K/50k contract. He is a fairly big draw and I think a lot of the top tier guys should have contracts in that pay range.

Huerta say something regarding PPV, it's almost as if he trying to work some kind of PPV deal where he gets a certain percentage...imo the only people who can really command a PPV slice is Chuck, Wand, Tito and obvious big name players. I think Huerta should take up any grievances he has with DW and Fertitta not the media. Everyone knows that fighter should be getting more and im sure something is being done about it as we type but moaning to the media only strains not fixes relationsships.

anyone in the ufc should be making more than enough to train full-time and live comfortably- WITHOUT counting on sponsors.

Huerta just gave himself a HUGE motivation to beat Florian but he also added a ton of pressure on his "cakewalk" match. Hope he can't deal with the pressure.

So you want him to lose becuase it will ruin him? You are a good person I can see.

Huerta's 07' pay:
Clay Guida-$38k+$55k(fotn bonus)= $91k
Alberto Crane-$34k (not sure if it was fotn or not)=$34-88k
Doug Evans-$28k
Leonard Garcia-(not listed, but between $12&24k)=$45k(fotn bonus)=$57-69k
John Halverson-$12k
Total for 2007: $224-291k (without backstage bonus checks & sponsers)
For a 24yr old who has only fought one decent opponent I think that is damn good money. Every fight of his, his pay goes up by atleast 4-6k.
I think maybe $50-60k is in range, but if he thinks he should get more I think he's developing Tito syndrome(without accomplishing anything Tito has).
The sad thing is the UFC has built him up to be a champion and he turns around and uses that hype to try to get more money.
