It's going to funny watching the anti-Zuffa crowd who've reviled Huerta as everything that's wrong with this sport suddenly hold him up as a hero when he demands mad money in his new contract.
It's going to be equally fun to watch the pro-Zuffa crowd who've held him up a great hero suddenly revile and diminish his accomplishments.
Seriously, though.... six figures plus points? Might want to make it to the main event of something more important than a Fight Night before you get that point. If he beats Florian, he should get a big raise from what he's been getting, but probably not what he wants. Even if he loses to Florian, he should be up for a decent raise.

Asking for 100k per fight is reasonable consider how many Latino viewers he is able to pull to the UFC.
PS: I don't think Penn makes less than 100k per fight

Well, let's see. Somehow a reporter got the info of how much BJ makes, so I guess it is not beyond the realm of possibility to think that Huerta somehow got that info as well.

Huerta just gave himself a HUGE motivation to beat Florian but he also added a ton of pressure on his "cakewalk" match. Hope he can't deal with the pressure.

Florian is the last fight on his contract, if he losses.. hes pretty much fucked. His egotistical attitude will do him in, and he will have to take what ever he's given. Or go fight elsewhere and not get the same attention.

BJ doesnt get a percent of revenue, which is where the real money is (look at liddels mansion for proof of that.) The percent of revenue is where fighters like Liddel, A.Silva, and Cotoure get theyre REAL money. Huerta isnt worth 100k, of his 4 PPV showings 3 of which where decisions, regardless of how good he looked, he couldn't finish. Huerta should be making in the 50k+ range, But under the 75k Mark.

I think roger "the can-opener" heurta needs to beat somebody first. Hes great against cans, but the only real win was Guida. Guida was winning the entire fight until he made a big mistake. I really hope Ken-Flow gets the ko.

Great!!! This is going to be another case of an entertaining fighter that gets shelved for 12 months b/c of bullshit. If you sign a guy for 6 fights then let him fucking fight 6 fights! Don't give him 5 then hold his 6th hostage until he renegotiates. If that's the case then sign him for 5 fucking fights! Nothing worse than a fighter waiting to fight and the org playing games with him. And I'm a huge UFC fan but this is bullshit if it goes down like this AGAIN!!!

I wish him well even though I'm rooting for Florian but yeah he's been aggressively stupid with this contract situation.
