How would a Brazil crowd react to Silva's opponent??

Now i keep seeing threads about how disrespectful the crowd was to Silva at UFC 82. And i agree it was total bull shit and it pisses me off. The guy is a class act, a great champion, and is incredibly exciting. The thing that is bothering me is that almost every post talks about how ignorant Americans are and that Americans are the worst crowds in the world.

So my question is if the UFC took Silva down to Brazil and he fought Hendo there what would the Brazilian crowd be like. Well if you ask me very similar if not worse. There have been a lot of American's who have fought in Brazil and were scared because the crowd was like an angry mob ready to kill them just for being American.

It's wrong no matter how you look at it but it's how it is unfortunately and it's not just exclusive to the U.S. fans. Please don't keep on saying how stupid and ignorant American's are becuase the same thing would happen anywhere just wait for GSP/Serra, and i'm not comparing Serra to Silva because i know that Silva is a way more liked person but you get the point. That's my rant

LOL at angry mob.

The worst I´ve seen a brazilian fan do was when Pat Smith was fighting someone in IVC and kept grabbing the ropes and a fan slapped his arm and Pat Smith got the fuck out of there.

Nothing compares to Rizzo being hit with a bottle of water after the Rizzo/Randleman fight though.

my family is from brazil and I have been there many times and I can tell you the people there are animals when gathered around. If you go to a soccer match you are risking your life if you make one wrong move. plus EVERYONE knows Jijitsu so there are many tuff people.

If it were not for my MA training I would not have survived many of my experiences there.

lolz

obviously thread starter has never been to brazail nor has he watched fights taking place in brazil. I mean stuff does happen at times but nothing as low-class in some of the ufc events. PLus, those were back then when brazil was the hub of mma. now it is vastly different.

shit like that rarely happens in brazil nor in japan. or any where else.

nothing beats "Beat the MExican up!" during Nog vs Herring in the UFC. Wow, calling nog a mexican

dunno about canada though.

I understand completely. There's a lot of Anti-American sentiments on here, and people usually try to find any excuse to bash the US. I think that if this fight took place in Brazil that it'd be similar. Both Brazil and the US are patriotic countries, so it's normal (although I don't condone it) to maybe get a little out of hand with supporting your countryman. Mix booze into the equation and forget about it lol.

BTW, I've noticed that the UK fans boo just as much as the American fans, so it's not necessarily an American thing to boo the fighters (for those of you who like to bash the Americans). I think it just has to do with the demographic that the UFC attracts. 18-34 year old males aren't exactly the most mature people no matter what part of the world you're from lol.

Ha You are out of your element. Watch a frickin soccer match and see how fans treat the opposing team. The hate for America and the UFC is so pathetic,
