yes, since his striking is wild and leaves him open, it IS poor striking! he also doesnt have much power in the standup. his chin is also unimpressive, as you say he gets rocked in almost every fight.

Silva's chances of winning a standup battle are slim to nill. He has to get it to the ground if he wants to win. Silva has shown weakness in his standup. Irvin, mendes, and Houston have all had him in moderated trouble early on in their fights. Machida is too technical to stand with, if he does then he'll lose and/or be ko'd
