I'm actually surprised no one has talked about the fact that if Thiago gets this to the ground he could win. Lyoto hasn't really been tested on the ground the way Thiago could test him. I think it's Thiago's best chance.

Thiago is a monster, but he's been hurt bad before. I think Machida takes it via dragon punch.

I agree with the TS assessment. Although I also think after Silva gets frustrated, he will try and clinch and take it to the ground. That's where Lyoto will use his underrated wrestling to throw Silva around like a rag doll, like he did to Tito.

I think it's even simpler than what the TS has.

I think Lyoto gets it with a headkick.

Thiago doesn't get frustrated then comes at you... he comes at you from the start.

Other than Wand he's the most aggressive fighter at 205 and he'll try to take the fight to Lyoto the second the bell rings.

This will be the end of him.

He came running at Antonio Mendes and barely survived his opening head kick.

If Lyoto connects with a head kick that's going to be all she wrote.

If it merely drops Thiago then Lyoto probably gets the TKO, but on the ground is Thiago's best shot I will say that.

It's still not much of a shot

With this win Machida will finally get a title shot and win a world title like he deserves.

silva could easily win this on the ground, especially if machida gets over aggressive on the ground and since he does that all the time i say its in the bag

His BJJ is extremely solid, I think Machida would be the champ at 205 if he actually got a title shot. Rashad Evans... psh.

lol

people talk so much about that double kick

THAT WAS DOUBLE FUCKIN BLOCKED

And if it was a decent striker he wouldve flattened Lyoto out

Somoene who trains MT knows that if you do a jumping strike you do it while moving forward not in the same spot

look up Buakaw in K-1 to see what happens

Machida has the skills but i just can't stand watching him fight. Everytime I watch him I just pray that he gets knocked out. His "Elusiveness" is obnoxious and extremely unentertaining after the first round.
