I see it this way.
Fitch is on the Undercard because there are 5 More exciting matchups already on the card.
He's fighting Gono, its a gimme fight, and quite frankly the UFC is not ready to push him for another title shot quite yet because he got demolished by GSP. This is a good little fight for Fitch to get a W.
He should be on the main card of a Fight Night card, but this works out.
Im also sure he doesnt give a shit, he still gets paid.

God, I couldn't agree more.

LowDown:
Dana = gets whatev he wants
Fitch = tried to disrupt things, sure he ended up doing what Dana wanted but that still doesn't mean he won't get punished, haha

It should be the only answer to this question that gets asked far too often since all the bullshit went down.
I see it this way too, If Dana White ask you for a favor, you do it. ALOT of fans and "experts" and even jackass keyboard warriors are too quick to say Dana doesn't give 2 shits about his fighters but this sentiment has no merit. Dana puts his life into the UFC and more than most sports can say, he invest right back into the sport, giving the fighters more and more opportunities and new places to fight. Advancing the sport is not a bad thing, finding new ground to host an event isn't either. Fitch is a great fighter, one fight on the undercard means little when his matchup isn't as great as what is actually on the main card.

lol! Boring Karo > Fitch?
Sherdog reporters need to ask White why he isn't smart enough to let fans vote online for main card fights.

It is getting harder for me to believe that Dana has done so much for the UFC. I'm starting to get the feeling that the fans would've supported the UFC to where it is today anyway.

i think fitch is a great fighter but its irrelevant at this point. He got massacred by GSP and as long as he's the champ (which i think its gonna be like that for a long long time) he wont get another titleshot.

Gono wasn't a gimme fight for a green, but still then very talented Gegard Mousasi. Nor was he a gimme fight for Denis Kang.
He won't be for Fitch. Although Fitch is smart enough that I expect him to win but Gono is not a walkover. Don't let the questionable Hardy loss fool you.
And no Bonnar/Jones is not a better matchup than Fitch/Gono. Not in any universe.

Jones has shown he has potential and he's still pretty new to MMA where as Gono has fought in Pride for a few years and his talent is on somewhat of a decline. Bonner had a few bad fights in a row a couple years back, but his last 2 or 3 fights has got me excited to see if we might get to see the athlete in Bonner we were promised we'd see after the Griffin/Bonner I fight. Griffin lived up to his potential but Bonner fell apart after Gracie died. Fitch is amazing but he's like Franklin to Anderson or Liddell to Rampage. It's not worth even making a run at the Champ if you know he' got your number

Someone bitches about this every damn PPV. I can't remember who the swing fight was on 92 but everyone was all up in arms about that, and we ended up seeing that fight and almost the entire undercard.
They always give TUF winners main card love (and even the guys they are trying to push from TUF, like CB), Bonnar has a huge fan base (witness the almost daily threads on Sherdog asking where he is), and they are trying to push Kim because everytime they put him on the main card they get fat cash from Korean TV to show the card. If he wasn't on the guaranteed broadcast they wouldn't get that money.
Fitch is fine, settle down.

Truth. It's hard to look at that card and find someone to push to the dark matches. The Bonnar/Jones fight is closest, but Bonnar is popular.
