How to beat Rampage
Wanderlei has shown the formula to beating Page. Lots of folks say it's knees, but it takes a lot more than that.
If you watch Wand/ Page two, you see the following:
1) Wand connects with several hard shots in rd 1. Page blocks a few, and the shots aren't flush, but they were hard and taking their toll.
2) Wand consistently goes for Thai clinch to throw knees. He lands several to body, Page thwarts early attempts to head.
3) Beginning rd 2, Page begins to tire. This gives way to Page throwing a sloppy left straight that Wand capitalizes on with a flush right hook counter. Even then, Wand has to throw all his power into a Thai knee to finish.
So, to sum up, it takes several hard shots, a fast pace, and a brutal finish to take Rampage out. On top of that, you have to be able to withstand his physical strength, and his ability to land hard shots of his own, which he did in Wand2, not only taking Wand down, but rocking him and basically Wand being saved by the bell at the end of Rd 1.
Go ahead and bring up Shogun, but that fight is not a good measure of today's Page because Page was still making large personal as well as professional transitions. I am assuming we see the best Rampage for Saturday, and it is clear the best Rampage did not show for Shogun.
Josh Gross alluded to this on the last Beatdown radio show. Looks like he's favoring Rampage too, BTW.
I just don't think Chuck will be able to follow the Wand formula. He won't be able to keep up the high pace Wand did, and he won't have the Muay Thai skills Wand did. That means Chuck will need to land several hard shots, without taking too much damage.
Given Rampage's improved blocking, head movement (which were already outstanding in fights prior), his hard chin, his freakish strength, his hard striking, I don't think Chuck has what it takes to beat him. I say Page beats Chuck 3/4 times.
Chuck's best bet is to land an early haymaker, or maybe even several early haymakers. The more likely outcome is that Page will ultimately wear Chuck out, slam him, and finish on the ground after landing several punishing shots on the feet.
Page by TKO, rd 4.

The key is much simpler:
1) Thai clinch
2) Knees to the head
The END

simpler.....don't brush your teeth or wipe your ass two weeks prior to the fight. His weakness is bad hygiene as he stated before. Other than that, Lidell has no chance

basically the best way to beat rampage is to push the pace and overwhelm him with shots, something chuck doesnt do

Not to sound like a dick or anything, but it sounds like your plan for beating rampage is pretty much the same as anyone would use, so you're pretty much stating the obvious. I'm not going to deny anything you said, but that sentence kind of made me chuckle.

Well, anyone would use that game plan, but the question is CAN they?
Also, anytime people mention Page's losses, all they talk about are the Thai knees, which should be substituted by the right hand, in Chuck's case. But it is clear that one/two/three shots aren't enough. So how can it be done?
Wand's finishing knee was preceded by a ton of heavy shots and a fast pace that I don't think Chuck can match.
At end of day, I don't think Chuck has what it takes to beat Page, and I stated why, which is my main point.
