HORRIBLE NEWS: Boxing Crooks Entering MMA!

This is from another MMA message board:

"Congratulations to Davion Peterson and Eddie Sanchez! They will be fighting for the first ever boxing sanctioned MMA title belt. They will be fighting for the NABC Indiana state MMA Middleweight Championship belt on July 28th on the Legends of Fighting Championship card. For full details on the show, and on the card visit http://bethechamp.com/lfc72806.htm I'm sure you will all agree, this is a big step in the rite direction for the sport. In my opinion MMA will be the #1 Combat sport in the world overtaking boxing in the next 5-10 years, so it is only rite that one of the heavy hitters in boxing steps into the MMA world. The NABC has had such fighters as Evander Hollyfield, Felix Trinidad, and Ricardo Myorga fight for their belts. The NABC will be sanctioning belts for State, regional, and then the main USA NABC MMA championship title! I have been working closely with the NABC to get them up to speed with the MMA scene, so if any of you have any suggestions please let me know!

Dustin Keith dkeith@Dustin-Keith.com 765-610-3586"

For those of you who do not follow boxing, sanctioning organizations are the worst thing in that sport. They actually make you pay money to hold their titles, they strip boxers of their pieces of tin for little or no reason, they take bribes to give fighters higher rankings, and their rankings are otherwise just horrible; they have moved up in their rankings fighters comign off losses, fighters who have DIED, Ray Austin, etc.

Yeah I think it does suck. It makes me think that there may be a time where MMA fighters are signed to promoters instead of companies. And I am not for that.

Ive been trying to say this all along, mainstreaming and sanctioning will only water down the sport. Imagine only seeing your favorite fighters fighting ONCE or TWICE a year if your lucky, it will be awsome. War PrideGP, Pride=no athletic commision
