Herring = The Most Overrated Entrance Into The UFC Ever

I've watched many fights of Herring, who is a B-level heavyweight. The way the UFC tried to build him up into some top level heavyweight was well overdone. He was destined to disappoint. Outside of his funky hair cut the guy is really not that memorable.

I guess this shows the relative desperation of the UFC to create interest in the Heavy weight division.

Everyone was talking about how shallow the talent pool was in the UFC a few months ago, and how Herring could be champ despite not being a top 10 guy. That turned out to be false, blame the UFC hater crowd for putting down the organization's up and coming heavyweights.

hmmm. I think Herring is an excellent HW
I agree, he fought a shitty fight. It happens to the best.

But the entrance was exciting and got me pumped, good for them. They generated more interest in him, thus making the fight itself more interesting (at least at first, before it got boring as fuck).

He'll be back though, he is a good HW.

Did you really...I mean really, just call him a B-level heavyweight? Yes, he did disapoint, but this guy was top level in Pride. When Fedor beat him(fedor was a heavy underdog in that fight) was when people took notice of him.

ugh.

People are so friggin' retarded on this forum. I don't know why I still come here.

Herring had more diversity in Pride w/ the strikes on the ground... what w/ his devastating knees and such...

he'll be back....

I think we all need to remember that it took Herring 3 rounds to beat Giant Silva!!!!!!

I thought it was a decent entrance. It got me pumped up for the fight. If his MCL is torn, he needs to heal it. He did have a really crappy fight and he needs to definately work on his ground game, but I think he will be a force at HW once he is 100%

I agree, and if he had a torn MCL as he said he did, I would have liked him to have abstained from fighting instead of preforming so poorly in a fight.
