Herb Dean deducts 2 points from Caceres, but none from Koscheck?
Herb Dean warned Koscheck multiple times about his fingers, and when he inevitably poked Pierce in the eye, there was no deduction, just another warning. Should a point have been deducted here?

I really thought he was gonna deduct a point from Kos at that point.

Yeah he definitely made a mistake one way or another. Overall though, he does a good job of not altering fights and protecting the fighters, so I will let this slide. He better be glad too...I'm sure he cares what I think.

he should have deducted a point from kos, multiple warnings and then an actual eye poke.

1 point should have been deducted from both Caceres and Koscheck. Erb Dean just fucked it all up. Welcome to the shitty ref club, Erb.

Two points was the right call.

I really like Kos but the eye pokes were so blatant a point should have been deducted for sure...

2 seems a little harsh. But it was Alex's 2nd offense and if Herb thought it was intentional or if Alex was just being really really careless I guess 2 points is OK. The fact that Edwin has like a 6 month medical suspension for getting blasted in the nuts....2 points is OK.
Kos should for sure have had 1 point taken away. Herb warned him and warned him, then when he actually poked him, he said "last warning". That's like when I warn my 3 year old not to touch something, then he touches it and I say, "Oh, that's OK, this is the REAL last warning though".
I usually like Herb but he was inconsistent with that.
