Explains it! Either way, I am very pleased that I have a better MMA alternative than SpikeTV. Spike isn't too bad, but my 5 year old son loves the sport. With Spike's continual showing of Girl Gone Wild ads, I have had to keep him from watching many of the cards past a certain hour.
I have brought this up before, and am not trying to create a debate, but for MMA to go mainstream it will need to be seen as sport for family. If kids train in the elements that make up MMA, and kids love watching it, the advertisement needs to be more family-focused. Much like the Saturday boxing use to be and USA's and ESPN's Fight Nights are/were. I highly doubt NBC will be advertising pornography during its airing of MMA events.
WAR to Mark Cuban for recognizing the growing market that was thirsty for a better source of MMA promotions.
