HBO Deal with new Production and Commentators???

I hate to say this but I think HBO is making a big mistake with not letting the UFC to use their own production company and commentators!!!!! I think one of the strongest assets of the UFC is that they have an unbelievable production team. They have it down to a science. Every new venue that has a fight the production team is awful!!!! Now believe it or not Goldberg and Rogan are the commentators in the game(now that Bas in gone) they know the sport inside and out and do an excellent job and I see HBO getting some guys who don't know anything about the sport and make it a mockery!!!! Bottomline I hope this deal doesn't backfire on the UFC because having HBO air live fights is a great thing for the sport and for my wallet since I already have HBO!!!!

wow, way off on everything. First off, Bas and Quadros are still doing commentary, together!

And they are essentially the original commentary crew for the IFL, so basically both of your points are wrong.

Thats ridiculous. Why not keep the same commentators? What are they gonna get their own old commentators? And whats this I hear about Trigg not commentating for Pride anymore? What happened? Whats happening to all the commentators? Its like its getting worser and worser...

Because a bad commentator absolutely ruins a good fight in my opinion. When they start saying stupid things during a fight ruins the fight.....For example when a guy is put in a guilotine and the guy gets into side control and Rogan says he is not going to tap because it is impossible to choke someone out in side control that is good stuff. A commentator that does not know the game will say dumb stuff throughout the match which can be annoying!

I know right. Complete disaster.

There is no way I can sit through a UFC event without hearing the constant self promotion no matter how low level and inexperienced the talent may be. It will be missed. Also, there is no way any HBO commentator can sell Xyience as smooth as Goldie can.

boooo.

Commentators make a difference. I watched the Bodog fight and it killed me.
