Hackleman: "If we get our way, Anderson Silva is going to come over here..."

Hackleman talks about Evans fight, Anderson Silva training at the pit and a bunch of other stuff...

http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content2154.html

On fighting Rashad Evans...

"I honestly think Rashad is a tougher fight. I’d rather fight personally and for Chuck, I’d rather fight Shogun than Rashad. I’m not taking away from Shogun, but I think, since the first time I’ve seen Rashad, I thought he was one of the best 205-pound fighters in the world."

"I don’t think Rashad’s going to stand and bang with Chuck. I just don’t. I think he will use his footwork, speed and try to bring his wrestling into play. I don’t think he’s going to stand and bang with Chuck, but we hope he does (laughing)."

On training for Evans...

"We started camp early because Chuck had some trips. He has to go to England for a publicity tour and then we’re going to come back to training next week so we started a week early."

"The gameplan is not going to change that much; a little bit. It’s business as usual."

On Anderson Silva...

"He’s unbelievable, huh? If we get our way, Anderson Silva is going to come over here and train with us."

On Herring-Kongo...

"I think both of them looked a lot better. Kongo’s ground game looked a lot better. Was that Cecil Peoples that gave the fight to Kongo? That was crazy."

Here's the full interview:

rashad probably is a tougher fight than shogun would be... i still think his style has proven to be horrible against chuck. chuck eats wrestlers. Rashad has decent stand up, but if he tries to stand and bang chuck will light him up.

the only reason i say he's tougher than shogun is because of his wrestling. shogun is best on the floor but doesn't have a good way to get the fight there, so his strength wouldn't get to shine in a fight with chuck.

Interesting...Remember Yoda is 1-0 game planning for Liddell, he'll have a wrinkle in Rashad's gameplan that could score him a decision

Hackelman knows how to hype a fight. I personally think Rashad is another bad matchup with Chuck.

By the way... Was that Cecil Peoples who gave it to Kongo? If not, nice little joke on the end there.

Oh snap! Jackson and Jardine completely slipped my mind. If Evans wants this fight he'll have to listen to everything they tell him. Gotta fight smart against Chuck.

Rashad's chances just went up in my mind.

I agree with the Rashad is one of the top 205s in the world, if he beats Chuck he should get a title shot.
