A lot of people felt this was essentially a tune up for Wanderlei at the time, especially as Henderson's run in the 183lbs. division leading up to that point that been somewhat less than stellar.

Most fans, especially here in the forums, were adament that Wanderlei should have been fighting Rogerio Nogueira on that card as Nogueira was long overdue for a shot at the title. Instead Rogerio gets set up with Sokoudjou and... yeah that happened.
Good call, not many people gavrHrndo a chance and almost everyone said he didn't deserve to be there.

Hamill wasn't brought in to lose.

I think Fickett was supposed to lose to Koscheck before he caught Kos with that last-minute knee.

Yeah me neither, and I don't really agree with the Herring being "over-hyped" comment either. And as for the statement under this above quote, I'm pretty sure Houston wasn't brought in for that either. He had been building a name for himself as being a badass at the time I think. Interesting topic though.

Anderson Silva

Leben hyped it up saying I'm gonna send him back to japan to fight lower competition (before pride was sold) Silva whooped his ass like I predicted (of course) And now silva has many fans since coming champ (bandwagon) Dana white looked very dissapointed when he won even more so after he won the belt from rich franklin. Now He has the biggest smile on his face that's for dam sure!!!

Lesnar? Are you serious?
