Guillards submission game?

Does anyone know how much Melvins ground game has improved as of late. 4 of his 5 losses have been to submissions and when Ruediger got Guillard to the ground he seemed completely out of his element. Stevenson is a great submission guy with over 10 subs and he is a house at 155. Does anyone know how much Guillard has been working on his bjj or TD defense. He is a great striker no doubt but Stevenson seems like the worst possible match up for Guillard. Any info on Guillards ground game or thoughts on how this fight will go would be appreciated, Thanks

Guillard is well rounded on the ground. He is always knocking people out so he prefers to stand and bang. Hopefully is sprawl has improved and he can keep it on his feet. Guillard, RD. 1 KO

that is exactly why i predicted stevenson to win, guillard is talented but he lacks a complete mma game. his submission defense is weak, on the ground he suddenly doesn't look like a powerful fighter. against gabe ruediger and josh neer, he looked terrible on the ground, especially neer he easily got him in a triangle

there's semi-competent and there's good.

he's semi-competent.

daddy will make him look completely out of his element, he'll be scrambling like crazy to get up, and he damn well better. joe by sub, round 2.

Thanks for the info I dont know much about Guillards career prior to the UFC and all I have to go by is the fight finder which can often be decieving.

Thats what I was thinking. But I gotta admit I dont know much about Guillard and I didnt wanna underestimate him before making a judgment on the fight.
