Mandy likes his riddum, ability to maintain mount, and his work from the bottom.

As much as I hate Koshcheck apparently it was not illegal to hold on to your own shorts. I'm pretty sure Georges told the ref while he was attempting the submission and he was told its a legal manuever.

takedowns and his defense. His double leg is something to be feared. His sprawl is even more frightening. The guy has a solid BJJ game. Stand up, not so much but its there. It's definitely enough to put grapplers away. Combined with his amazing ground game he's a dangerous man no matter where the fight is. He's become more of a wrestler as of recently but he's skilled none the less.

His best skill is his ability to adjust his fighting style to anybody's weakness.

When he has an opponent who expects him to stand and trade (GSP doesn't really like to trade btw..) he wrestles the shit out of them (See GSP vs Serra 2 and GSP vs KOS).

When fighting a guy who intends to ground fight him, he beats the hell out of them on the feet (see GSP vs HUGHES 2 & 3). Actually...Hughes 3 was just an all around route.

Most fighters don't have the skill set that will allow them to compete with any fighter in any aspect of the game.

Sure there are people who are better strikers than he is. There are people who are better wrestlers than he is. But he is on a level where he can still compete w/ them...and if all else fails, there is something else that he's better than them at. And that what he uses to beat them.

He won't fear a wrestler b/c he can wrestle too. So he'll beat the shit out of them. He won't fear a striker b/c he can strike too. So he'll toss them up. Jitz guys...same deal.

IMOP...I think Fitch can beat him. I think BJ WILL beat him (If GSP doesn't run to 185 and hide). I also think ANDERSON SILVA will beat him.

I think his wrestling is his greatest skill set. Both his defensive and offensive wrestling is simply amazing. Look at the fight with Koscheck. Kos tried to take him down, and only got one takedown the whole fight (iirc) and it was more of a reversal. GSP took Kos down several times that fight.

Thing is with GSP is that he has great standup, he has great BJJ (underrated IMO) but the biggest factor is his wrestling.

His ground control (ground wrestling) is amazing as well... he has that submission sense that Fedor has. If the bottom guy is going to a high guard, GSP knows it and postures up.

But his wrestling allows him to control every fight he's in. And since he has a very high success rate in both takedowns and takedown defences, he can come in with a gameplan and execute it.

I think I may have just sounded like I'm riding his nuts. So be it. The guy is a beast.

its not even his takedowns or td defense. any good wrestler has both skills. his best skillset is how he mixes his wrestling with his striking. no other guy in the world transitions from punch/kick to takedown like he does and at the same time where most guys leave themselves open to be taken taken down after throwing, he has the ability to stuff it.

agreed. that is why he is so dominant. most of the WW are wrestlers
