Correct.

His wrestling

If it counted as a skill though, I would say his athleticism. He's stronger and faster than everyone he fights - that's a huge advantage.

His versatility is his best skill set. He can use sprawl and brawl, like in Hughes vs GSP 2, ground and pound, like in Sherk vs GSP or a combination of both. He's really the most complete MMArtist in the game right now. The only other MMArtist in his league is Fedor.

His wrestling is awesome obviously if he can take down a Division I All American. On another note, this is what I believe he will do to Matt Serra in their rematch.

He was excellent wrestling skills, always seems to get into a good position and decent gnp.

His sprawl is crazy, he barely ever gets laid out on his back, and if he does its not for long. I think his takedown defense is good enough that alot of wrestlers don't even bother shooting after the first or second try. He's also decent at shooting in for a takedown.

He's got a great JJ game imo, especially in his last fight against hughes, if he could sub him i think he could sub anyone.

His striking alot of people say is lacking, but i still think he's got a very strong line
of offense on his feet, he can throw alot of leg kicks without being taken down, throws
random spinning back kicks, superman punches, alot of stuff you don't see from many fighters. He mixes things up alot which outpoints alot of other fighters that only jab and hook.
He continues to show something new every time he enters the ring, his wrestling against kos, his judo throw/submission against hughes. I'll be interested to see what he does to serra.
My feeling is that his best attribute is that he COMBINES all his skills very well. You mentioned how good his JJ was in his last match with Hughes. But really it wasn't just hi JJ knowledge that allowed him to submit Hughes.

That hip toss followed by that nasty quick elbow to Hughes eye is what setup his sub.

That's why I think his greatest attribute is his ability to transition fluently from one aspect of MMA to another to another without thinking about it. It seems so natural with GSP.

he doesn't have the best pure BJJ, but is the best at his weight class for MMA BJJ, mainly for being able to wrestler his opponents into better positions where its harder for them to pull subs with his sub defense.

Wrestling. He dictates the pace and the place the fight goes. No one can handle his rhythm.

wrestling (tds and td defense) followed by his bjj/grappling and not far behind is his striking.

it's amazing when you think about it that striking is his weakest among the big three (striking, wrestling, bjj) but his striking is very very good which speaks to just how well rounded he is.

his cardio is top notch, strength is excellent. gsp is pretty much the perfect fighter with his only questionable quality being his "mental game" or whatever.

I'm going to say his ground game, take down defense, and take downs.

1.) Athleticism
2.) Wrestling

GSP has outwrestled some of the best pure wrestlers in the business and is one of the best pure athletes in the sport. I have to give the nod to his athleticism because that is what allowed him to gain world class wrestling skills after having no amature wrestling career to speak of.

His strinking and submission game are good, but not great. Like a lot of "submission wrestlers" his position is what sets up his submission.
