His best skill set is always changing. Two fights ago it was his striking. In my opinion right now his takedown defense is his best skill going for him.
It allows him to do a lot things that some guys can't get away with like that super man punch against hughes. Hughes got his under hooks and still couldn't do anything with it where most other guys would of been on there backs after that.

One interesting tool he has is a left roundhouse kick from his lead leg. It's lightning quick and really hard to train for b/c not everyone has someone in their camp that can throw it crisp like that.

His wrestling and submission game. He would've submitted Koscheck if he didn't illegally hold onto his shorts.
That was perfectly legal. Fighters are allowed to hold onto their own shorts.
I'd say his takedowns and takedown defense are his best skills like Rod Farva said. His striking isn't at the level of say Anderson Silvas, but it is pretty good and most of all it's exciting.
