He's bigger, stronger, has more skills and is just as quick with a larger gas tank - so way just do the lay and pray. Sure it's safer and less risk just to take care of business, but as a fighter you're also an entertainer.
Where's the gsp of the yesteryears? he needs to showcase his skills and strategy, esp against a guy like matt serra (i was actually rooting for serra this fight, but my money would of been on gsp). If it was such a fluke the first time, stand and bang!!! do some take downs...ground and pound....don't just punch to set up the take downs.
I was mildly dissappointed at this fight. Winning is important, but how you will is almost equally important when you look back at you career when you're retired.
GSP, pls don't turn into tim sylvia - fight to win with boring fights.

I'm gonna chime in with the hoards of actual fans pointing out the obvious in this thread- you're a fucking MORON. That wasn't "lay n' pray" at all, not even for one second. You clearly don't "get" what LNP is. Georges worked continuously to pass the guard and when he accomplished it he went to mount, when he didn't he stood up and rained punches. When Serra turtled he blasted him with the best knees to the body we've yet to see in MMA. When it stood up he worked the jab, delivered an instantly legendary highlight reel combo, and even managed to throw a signature spinkick. When he took it back down again he repeated step A immediately. There was no resting for anyone in that fight and your comments are retarded.
