Misaki matches up better with Kang because he is a great counter striker. He will be absolutely pimped by Filho who is a god on the ground. Misaki couldnt handle Marquardt and Im betting that Filho's ground game is a lot better.

I would have rather seen Kang/Misaki and Filho/Gono ... But you never know what you'll get ... I didn't see Misaki beating Henderson, so who knows what surprises Pride Bushido will have in store ...

This sounds very reasonable to me. Misaki isn't 'stingy-ish' (relative of course) as some of Filho's other opponents. Bouchelaghem, Chonan, even Ninja, kinda, were sorta easy for Filho to drive down to the ground. Misaki is a solidly built 185er, a wider base, I guess. Like Hendo. So I think he can definitely pose some problems for Filho. Kang might take Gono out pretty early. Like Gono v. Lombard, but I think Kang can take him out quick. Nice brackets.

I honestly feel this is Filho's tourney to lose. I'd expect him to be too much for Misaki and be able to control Kang/Gono. And while I realize Kang is the hands-down favorite against Gono, I wouldn't at all count out Gono. He seemed to be considered the underdog against both Lombard and Mousassi, yet here he is. Same goes for Misaki, honestly. I just believe Filho's the tougher competition
