Gomi vs. Diaz, what happened?

Seriously, Gomi was dominating like I haven't seen Diaz dominated, he got a clean shot on him that nearly KO'd him and dropped Diaz, then near the end of the road he started having his arms down and just ate whatever Nick threw. If Nick had more power he would get a KO there...did he really just gas that bad in the first round? I mean, not even hands down, hands COMPLETELY down with some of the sloppiest striking I've seen, it was really weird his hands were down below his waist. He would strike from there!

What did Gomi say post-fight? Even Diaz was saying he didn't understand what Gomi was doing. :lol

He employed his patented "don't take the fight seriously and undertrain, leading to gassing" tactic.

Only Gomi knows why anyone would use that tactic. Well, maybe Penn too.

This tactic, while leading to losses, still helps when it comes to making sure you will always be high up in rankings.

I believe coming over from Japan and fighting in America (Vegas) had an effect on him. He seemed like he gassed out in like 3 mins.

Nick's right eye is completely shut by the end of the fight, Gomi's face looks clean. Did he really just gas?

True, plus it gives him more time to drink beer!

Obviously Diaz was so high he didn't realize Gomi was giving him the beating of his life. A very unorthodox yet effective tactic.
