Does anyone agree with Serra that this is the biggest upset in UFC history?

I'm glad Serra won, but I was rooting for GSP and think he will get his title back.

i was hoping serra would win just to shake things up and shut the gsp nuthuggers up for a minute, but wow, i never thought in a million years it would happen. props to the new champ. it looked like to me that gsp was kinda hesitant and was fighting not to lose, not to win. but no matter what, this division is sooo stacked. the kos diego fight was kinda disappointing, but kos won cuz he stayed outside, didnt engage, and punched only when he saw an opening. smart fight for kos.

The funny part is, Serra isn't even a true WW, he is a LW. And her beat the best of the best in a higher weight class. I know Serra has fought in WW alot, but still... that's pretty damn impressive for a small guy like him. I also have no idea looking back why everyone (including myself) underestimated him, he could have very easily been 6-2 (conservatively) before TUF 4, but had some bad luck.
My next comment is that before his fight with GSP, we all assumed that after losing to GSP, he would drop down to LW and challenge for the title... does anyone else think this is realistic now, or do you think he needs to stay at WW and defend his title before going after a second title?

i think its gotta be close, the randy tim fight was a big upset, but i think personally i gave randy more of a shot than matt. i would never have guessed that matt was going to win, and knock gsp out at that, its crazy

Just imagine for a second Kos being the first TUF world champion. It makes me shudder.
BTW I can't believe what happened last night. GSP will be back.

I know serra fought in the ufc before but he was on TUF, thats the only reason he got a shot at the title. Im not trying to dog serra. I am very happy for him. He is a good fighter. Just pointing out he was on TUF.

What do they do for Serra's next match? I think that will give Hughes a title shot against Serra. They appeared to have a little bad blood on the TV show, so I think this would be a great selling point. I'd also like to add that I think GSP will come back to win the belt back.

Dude, I am talking about the point in the fight where GSP got clubbed to the side of the back of his head, and afterwards he had no balance, no equilibrium.
Serra did amazing to capitalize. But it was definitely Crocop/Randleman-eque!
