Give Cro-Cop a break
Ok, so he lost to two opponents that he should have beaten...big deal. Thats his first loss in a while and first Brutal KO in a while(referring to the GG fight) and now he has another shaky performance against a dangerous striker all the while recovering from his KO loss. I don't know why everyone is so surprised about the loss. Your first performance after a loss like that is always going to be rough. It just so happens that he was thrown in their w/ a soon to be upper level opponent to boot.
He won't retire, but he will be a force again...give it a rest.

Because we're fans of the guy, plain and simple. It's hard to watch a guy you KNOW should be brutalizing people seem timid and hesitant, especially on the UFC stage where he should shine and show casual fans that he is the real deal. It's just frustrating and it sucks as a Cro Cop fan.

Dude, lets review Mirkos UFC Career.
Eddie Sanchez is unranked, barely a HW, and far from an "A" level fighter.
Gonzaga was an unranked HW before he fought C.C. This was a major break getting to fight an unranked HW for an immediate shot for the title.
Kongo is an unranked HW. This was another major break giving the God of MMA striking an opponent who is completely devoid of any ground game. This break was to reignite his career with a HL reel KO.
Give me an idea of what our next break that we should give Mirko should be? I got it.
Mirko vs B.J. Penn for the vacant UFC belt might do the trick!

Honestly I thought that Kongo would have been a warmup fight for cc
The broken rib and the nutshots may have hurt cc but I'm still really disapointed he lost
Never been a fan of him but he is kinda disgracing Pride actually

even with that ... he still barley lost. 29-28 with two rounds of broken ribs and groin KNEES. people seem to forget that though...... with the way people talk the battle should have been 31 - 26
screw them and read below!

Most people in MMA don't like the 10 point must system of scoring, especially Pride fans, so saying the scoring was close doesn't mean much. In watching the fight, it was pretty clear that Kongo was more effective, landing more kicks, and knees (the ones that didn't land on the sack) and carrying the action...
