K-1 / DSE fighter confusion

so ive been hearing about fighter contracts being disputed around the k-1 organization lately ( BJ PENN) . Ive always thought that k-1 and DSE are equally popular in japan, but lately ive been hearing that the k-1 organization has alot more money invested in its fighters? anyone heard this? i know genki/sapp/kid/mach are considered Huge draws, but is k-1 really that much bigger than DSE?

K-1 > UFC in MMA possible in a couple of years.
Pride > K-1 in MMA not likely because K-1 GP is no longer what it used to be.

It seems k-1 is bigger cause it is very well known in all other countries other than us, but pride seems to pay the money to get the big names, but once you think about it k-1 does shows all the time and pride does them about half as much. GREAT THREAD!!
