Chuck sets the record straight about Jardine fight:

http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/...=4436&zoneid=2

Some silly accusations popped up recently stating that Chuck 'chose' Jardine as an opponent. Apparently Chuck would have had no problem with the Shogun fight (anybody with sense knows this) but again, Liddell doesn't pick his fights. Glad this tripe is over with. Next....

I believe Chuck. And I don't like him. I just wish the Chuck nuthuggers would give Wandy the same respect that I give Chuck

Hey, thats exactly what I have been saying all along in many, many, many "blame Chuck" type threads. I just posted this in another forum:

Uh-oh here we go again. Someone trying to turn this into Chucks fault. Give it a break man, Dana and Joe tried to set up the Chuck/Silva fight. They thought they had it when he verbally agreed to the Sept fight and had it posted on his personal website. Then he decided he was going to move sooner than later so when he had the actual contract in his hand he called and told them that he no longer could fight in Sept and asked for a fight toward the end of the year "maybe Nov, maybe Dec" (his words).

The UFC makes big money when Chuck is on a card and they want him on at least 4 PPVs a year. It was time for him to get back in the cage and he was always going to be on the Sept card. Don't try to make it Chucks fault by saying he couldn't wait 2 months. He fights who Dana and Joe put in front of him when they put them there. It is not his job to schedule his own fights. He is a fighter and not a promoter, this is not his fault. And if its "only 2 months" then Silva could've put off his move until after the fight but he didn't. I don't blame Silva and I don't blame Chuck, they both want the fight.

OK, rant over! I am just sick an tired of almost everyone trying to make this Chucks fault and saying he really don't want the fight and all that bullshit and with the rest of the people saying that Silva is ducking Chuck and don't want to fight him, its just Stupid! They are both warriors and always have and always will fight whoever is put in front of them to fight!!!

By the way, I think it is stupid to put down either one of them. They both are fighters with a high level of integrity. They both want the fight and hopefully we will get it soon.

But it is not up to Chuck or Silva. They fight whoever is put in front of them whenever they are put their. There job is to kick ass in the cage not schedule fights!

I believe Chuck but I think it was Wandy coming out and saying he wanted to fight Chuck in November and the UFC declined it, that people believed Chuck may have had a hand in choosing Jardine. I just dont see what the big deal is in waiting two months and getting the giant super fight or maybe Chuck will fight again then? Who knows.

I still think Chuck would prefer Jardine just to pick him self back up from his loss, i think even he would think it would be too risky to jump straight back in with Shogun
