Franklin in standup trouble if he fights A. Silva?

Just my opinion but I think Rich might be in trouble he if wants to stand and strike with Anderson Silva (I'm not suggesting the fight is signed or rumored but it will happen within the next 1-2 years). I want Rich to win but I think he needs to use his grappling skills in order to beat Anderson. Silva is ultraskilled (as is Rich) on his feet and seems to make good strikers look below average i.e Lee Murray and Chris Leben. Anyway, what are your opinions?

by grappling to you mean wrestling, clinch, or what? while rich has better wrestling, silva has a better muay thai clinch, as well as better jiu jitsu.

gonna be a great one.

Franklin is in trouble with any good standup fighter because he leaves holes in his defence. But I do think Franklin can take this one. Anderson was good, but not dominant. Alot of fighters from Pride were alot better and since Bushido some are prooven better. (Kang, Filho)

By grappling I mean wrestling and jiu jitsu. I think Franklin is in big trouble if the fight stays in the clinch. Franklin's best chance to win is to get the fight to the mat in my opinion. I agree by the way, it should be a great one (eventually).

Silva looked great but when has he fought a striker like Franklin? The best striker Silva fought has probably been Lee Murray. Just because Silva looked great against Leben doesn't mean he'll look great against Franklin.

Franklin didn't even bother standing up with Curtis Stout. I doubt he stands up with Anderson Silva.

Franklin's Jiu Jitsu is really good. He's flexible as hell. Plus in standup Franklin knows how to create angles, unlike Leben who just goes straight at his opponent, he relies on his chin. Rich is just an all around smart fighter. It's gonna be a good fight.

How is Filho (who was carded from the mount in the last fight) dominant? Who has he beaten? Ninja? Suleov? How has he proven better??

I think hes in trouble also...even though lebens no franklin, if he fights the way he did that night I dont think it would matter what striker he faced....niethers a stud on the ground so it'll probably stay on the feet.
