I don't recall too many black men barking like dogs when i was in Nashville, Murfreesborough, or Memphis, but I could be wrong.

I think it's been noted a few times that Rampage was a big pro wrestling fan and that the howl and chain were both inspired by the junkyard dog. There's nothing "ghetto" about that.
Also, Rampage doesn't strike me as "ghetto". I guess that depends on what you call ghetto to begin with. To some people, Ghetto=Any black person who does not speak with an english accent. He strikes me as more of a country boy than anything else. He doesn't display much of a "hood" or "gangsta" mentality and he really doesn't use a lot of "Hip Hop" slang.
Plus he plays Halo. Nobody plays Halo in the ghetto. They're still playing Goldeneye.

Jim actually makes some good points. Especially the Kos one saying that he should feed off the hate. Never really thought of it like that, heh.

If you care about cussing then why are you watching a sport where people punch eachother in the face? I know the thread starter is ambiguous about how he feels about it, but I'm just saying.

Yeah, it doesnt look good for the sport and if it ever goes on Public TV (CBS, FOX, whatever) they cant have people cussing like that.
Think if A-Rod or some other sports star winning a game and talking like Forrest did. Just looks bad.

Hmm. I wonder what inspired me to reply to this silly thread. Icehouse maybe.

well the TS has a point in that the cussing is not good for UFC or MMA. but he mixed his point with another point, that of Dana frowning in reaction to the foul language.
you don't see the winner of the Olympic long jump or the winner of the 100 meters using the F-word when being interviewed. or for that matter, look at how federer and nadal handled themselves when being interviewed at the conclusion of Wimbledon last weekend. if UFC or MMA participants want to be respected as 'athletes' in that MMA is a legit sport, then they need to clean up their act. you can be a tough guy without having to act like one (fedor, cro cop, nog, etc etc...). the idiot TUF show winners who binge drink, piss all over the place, and cuss are terrible for the sport. acting like a complete tool on TV is not a prerequisite for being an MMA fighter.

That is one of the funniest things I've seen on Sherdog...I'm sorry it just is.
