I think he just wanted to beat Serra in what was supposed to be his strenght (the ground). He's done that for his last 3 fights. Out wrestled a wrestler with much better pedigree, submitted a guy who's strength is on the ground (and used the same sub he was beat with in their first fight).

How stupid to say GSP is afraid to stand and fight! Fitch is an idiot, and how often does HE stand and fight? He should talk! I hope GSP destroys Fitch and sends his over-rated ass home.

Youre retarted. He threw a spinning back kick and hit Serra with some great jabs, he won every aspect of the fight, and ofcourse he took it down when he saw the opportunity because he wasnt going to give serra room to breath in every aspect of the fight. Please stop making retarted threads like this, St pierre proved he is the number 1 ww when he is on his game. Not to mention he threw a superman punch that hit from a difficult angle.

Even if GSP were afraid to stand, its not like Fitchs stand up is superior in any way to GSPs. Fitch should be happy GSP is "afraid to stand."

Or confidence in his top game.. He did afterall take down a guy with a supposed advantage on the ground.
GSP was passing Serra's guard so easily too, I didn't expect that.
It was like Serra had no guard.

GSP will keep it standing in his fight with fitch and break him down before finally taking it to the ground and pounding his ass out.

I'd rather be afraid to stand (supposedly GSP), than be afraid of putting on an exciting fight (Fitch).

When did Fitch start thinking he is crocop in his prime? GSP displayed a smart game plan. Bottom line.

Trolls like you are such idiots. It's like you have selective memory or watched GSP for the first time last night. Go play in traffic, kid.

Just curious, did you lose money on Serra last night? Stupid people tend to make stupid bets.

Fitch hasn't shown me anything that says hes capable of beating GSP. Razor thin decisions to cut the mustard. Any loser can talk trash from the sidelines. GSP fought an extremely smart fight. He know that Serra was gonna be trying to take his head off. He used Serra forward momentum from trying to swing at his head to put him on the ground quick. Serra fought the stupid fight if you ask me. He didn't anticipate this at all. He didn't try to clinch or avoid any of the takedowns. He didn't even try to take GSP down. Pierre stood with him for as long as he needed to so as to trick him into a standup duel then take him down again. Smart. He fought to his stengths.
