This just goes to show how the other promotions are viewed now by the fighters. They all saw Elite XC die despite having a television deal and are starting to realize that if you want to be in this sport long term, even if you have to put up with bs from time to time, you better be with the UFC. If there were another viable option for him, he would have been gone.

He said himself the problem was with the WAY the deal was presented, not the deal itself.

Clearly this is a good thing for his career, the UFC did nothing wrong here. Dana flew off the handle. Dana is an employee, he fucked up, the rest of company came in and cleaned up. Hopefully he learns from it or he may find himself at the wrong of the table on a board of directors meeting.

Lorenzo and Fitch worked out a deal. The UFC and Fitch both got what they wanted.
I was thinking the same thing. MMA fans are like psycho girlfriends.

I think Fitch would've been screwed if he went the other way. Now that he's signed the licensing contract, he gets to keep his job, he keeps his sponsors, gets to be in a video game, will still be getting paid and first and foremost, he still gets to fight in the BEST MMA ORG in the world against the best opposition in his weight class. Smart move by Fitch.

Thank goodness that there's a UFC executive who is cool-headed and responds to the voices of UFC fans. I just spent $50 on UFC 90 and it's not an easy thing to do in very uncertain economic times. I was planning to buy BJ v GSP but I was having second thoughts about contributing to UFC revenues.
