I'm not a fan of the pro wrestling / soap opera dramatics that have been brought over to MMA. It makes the athletes look less like sportsmen who are here to be the best they can in their sport and more like actors who are trying to sell a product.
I know that drama and hype helps sell tickets and ppv's (Ali was the best at it) but I don't feel that in mixed martial arts that there are "good guys" and "bad guys", just two athletes with amazing skill sets competing to see who's the better fighter.
All this being said, i'm not a fan of certain styles of fighting (and no, that does not mean that I would pay to see them lose... I won't pay to see them fight at all) such as the styles of Sherk and Lesnar, and I am a HUGE fan of the styles of Machida, Eddie Alvarez, Anderson Silva, BJ Penn (amazing fighter but he talks too much shit), and Miguel Torres but that doesn't mean that i'm "rooting" for them, it just means that I love watching their styles. If they're defeated, I don't get pissed because "my favorite fighter lost" because the chances are that their opponent put on an amazing performance and kept me entertained.

I dont ever root for Kimbo coz i dont like the way he got into MMA, im not saying its his fault or anything as its not but im not sure its a good example to have illegal videos of yourself in street fights and that be your way into MMA.
Also iv never rooted for Tito Ortiz, cant stand that guy, did anyone know he's put 11 years on his life into the UFC??? F*&k off man, thats all you ever say. stop crying, you have had your time.

I'll take everyone on your list and add Marcus Davis and Bob Sapp, also Arona just for beating Sakuraba.
I know there are some names i'm missing off the top of my head but basically anyone who is super cocky or refers to themselves in the third person, i'll let Shonie Carter be the exception to this rule.
