Female mma fans UNITE!

Okay, I think in the many, many years I've been on Sherdog (I have no life), I've heard about 5 posters admit they were women. While we're getting ppl out of the mma closet, how many women watch this stuff? How many got started by TUF? My neighbor's wife is now getting into it. My own wife is actually frightening me with her knowlege of the terminology, and I've heard these flash reports of women tuning in.

What is the motivation, ladies? Is this the new sport to watch?

My girlfriend almost broke up with me when my friends and I started calling her Jeff Monson and she checked to see what he looked like

In all seriousness though I have yet to meet a women into MMA. They exist?

I do, but I started watching when I started kickboxing about 5 years ago. I've just always been into that kind of stuff. Boxing, martial arts, and sports in general.

my friends GF got pissed when we called dher jeff monson...but she seriously has huge boobs...she got pissed though

I wish more women would post on Sherdog...it would probably help to counter-balance all the gratuitously macho attitudes on here.

my neighbor is really into mma and she is a girl. i got here into it and now she watches highlight videos all the time and reads this site and comes over to watch ufc/pride ppv's. and she watches tuf

Part of me wishes that too, but the minute we start talking about how hot some of the fighters are, I'm sure majority of the people here would be like "that's why chickz shouldnt watch sports OMG." As if they could watch a womens MMA match without making one comment about who has the better rack. Hypocrisy, I tell you.

That's why I usually keep my mouth shut about my gender unless it's pertinent to the discussion, ie. someone calls me a ***, clearly thinking I'm a dude.
