He doesn't exactly have the reputation of an honest and professional promoter
The guy exaggerates constantly and sometimes flat out lies if it discredits whoever he is opposing at the time of his comments.
Dana does what's best for the UFC, and in this case if that means making Fedor's management out to be 'crazy Russians' then I absolutely wouldn't put it past him. This is the guy that said Wand had no heart and Brock was a circus act before signing them.
He STILL won't even admit Fedor is top 5.
I've heard multiple accounts about the Red-Devil stipulation but the stadium allegation only seems to come from Dana. I know Vadim is a hard manager to deal with but I think even he would realize the UFC isn't going to build them a fucking stadium.
Chances are the truth lies somewhere in-bewteen what Vadim and Dana say. Whatever the case it's obvious that Fedor isn't coming to the UFC anytime soon. I really think Fedor is hurt more than helped by Vadim/M1 but he's so close with them he'll never leave. I worry that by the time he realizes who much he is limited by his management's negotiation tactics he'll be the big fish in the small pond and the UFC can basically throw any number they want at him. It's either that or he's off to fight 3 more cans a year in Japan.
Here's hoping Fedor eventually realizes he never truly cement his legacy until he enters the UFC.
