Fedor = Federer on grass
If mma guys fought as often as tennis players competed there'd be a lot more (off days) losses for the big guns.

Good point.
Still, I disagree.
Simply because the guy's fighting smarts, overall technic , style are more than impressive.
10 or 20 years from now, this ain't gonna change.
Fedor will be "the" reference.
It's like Maradona in Soccer..
or today's maestro in tennis (federer)..
In terms of skills... He's in a league of his own.
Years from now, mma will probably have more "well rounded" fighters.
More guys like Penn, st Pierre etc.
But there are things you can't teach. what makes the difference between fedor and the rest is what goes inside his head.
We're lucky to see a guy like this in his prime.

Depends on how you define dominance. How many of his opponents have to be carried off the tennis court in a stretcher?

Not sometimes, almost always, since it's 6-2 for Nadal against Federer.
Fedor is in top class.

it might be a good idea to compare his dominance of MMA to other athletes' dominance of single player sports such as Tennis, Golf, Boxing etc.
just to answer the threadstarter i would say he could be a bill russel in MMA at its early years.

Well put.

Out of the 6 victories to Nadal, I think 4 of them have been on clay. So you can't just say that Nadal almost always beats Federer. On clay, sure. But anyway, the point is, that Federer is a far better and more dominant athlete than Fedor -the competition in tennis is so much harder than in mma, and Federer is still winning almost all Grand Slams and major tournaments (except on clay).
