Fedor is the greatest MMA HW of All-Time and my favorite fighter. He doesn't need the UFC to make money or cement his already legendary legacy. He could retire tomorrow and I would be content in having seen the man live and stood within an arms reach after he KO'd Arlovski .... BUT... with that said ... there is a shift happening and it's not a good one.

1. This M-1 Co-promotion thing is officially out of hand.
2. The UFC has come to him repeatedly with the best offer (Even M-1 has admitted that)
3. Aleks has made a statement that Vadim is working for the best interest of himself and not Fedor.
4. Never has a deal with the UFC been so obtainable. No contact obligations etc...
5. Fedor is IN the USA with ZUFFA actively trying to sign him
6. Those who want Fedor in the UFC has probably quadrupled in the last 48 hours.
7. Even I, myself, just recently off the dubs for bashing Dana, has come to see Mr. White is not the issue here. M-1 is.

And there's more.

As much as I feel everything in my opening statement is true, I do want to see Fedor in the UFC. 3 fights. Brock, Randy, Mir. After he destroys all three, retire the greatest, undisputed, hardcore and casual fans alike will recognize. And Fedor will make giant sums of cash.

So, with all that said, why won't he just "sign the contract big boy, just sign the contract."

ps. I believe Dana even said he'd back off reg the Sambo. The ONLY thing standing in the way is that RIDICULOUS idea of an M-1 co-promoted UFC event.

Wouldn't it suck though if he got beat in his first fight in the UFC?

Yeah.

Especially since the first fight would likely be against Brock.

2. Just to clarify, it actually was Lorenzo who said it, but he said there would have to be some restriction to taking part before a big PPV card (like 90 days).

As a casual fan I want to see this happen this fedor-brock was on vancouver news papers all over.

Casual fans now know who fedor is and this has to happen because all the media even the non-mma ones are covering the would-be or should-be fight

No, because we would get to see the best fight each other, and that's what it's all about.
