Basically, Dana White is a promoter. That's what promoters do. I'm not sure why people AREN'T expecting him to say he has the greatest fighters in the world, as though he's supposed to get on TV and say "the greatest MMA fighter fights for the other guys."

Tell me about it. Fedor fans are by far the worst, and really the only reason why I want to see Fedor lose. At least someone to knock some of that gold dust off of him.

I don't think Dana would sell Fedor as the greatest, at least not right away. Dana doesn't completely flip his word like that. He'll say something to the effect of "Many people think this guy is the greatest heavyweight". Then following a win or two Dana would be saying it.
My basis for this was his approach with Lesnar and how he handled that.

Anyway, I thought this statement was somewhat Dana-ish.
Sounds distinctly like promoting your own doesn't it? Fedor won't get the same criticism as Dana would though. Too bad Affliction doesn't really have the best HW fighters in the world. Sure they have a few of them, but the majority are fighting elsewhere.
|
Why would he. They have the top 3 HWs in the world. Fedor, AA, Barnett. The also have some other top 10 guys. No one has a more impressive;list of HWs

Wrong! Read the answer to the second question. He has victories over many of the UFC's Champions? Huh?
