Well its good to see that Fedor understands that this is a business and does not take anything Dana says to heart. Just like Fedor said Dana would sell him as the best if he was under contract with the UFC and he is right. Even though Dana takes promoting his brand to a new level while discrediting others the same way its his job to do so.
After AA fights Fedor if he wins there are really only two possible fights outside of the UFC provided that Alistair Overeem signs with the UFC, Barnett and Sergei. The Sergei fight I am not really interested in he has not beat anyone in over a year and people have questioned his heart and determination much like Werdum. So where will Fedor take his career then will he continue to fight freak shows and slip a couple of quality or top fighters in every two or so years or will he go to the UFC where there is a lot of up and coming talent and at least two top ranked guys right now.

You are so full of shit. So which UFC HW does he have to beat to satisfy you. A win over Tim and AA is impressive

If Fedor fought in the UFC, he'd get humbled just like Herring, CC and Nog have been by UFC fighters. The Pride myth has been exposed people need to stop the bs because until Fedor steps in the cage he's irrelevant.

Fedor is 6-0 against various former UFC champions. Soon to fight Arlovski, and then Barnett, both of whom were UFC champions.
In other words, STFU noob. The UFC isn't the only important MMA organization in there, and they don't even have the best HW division.

Emelianenko may spread his words few and far in between, but when he speaks it is always beautiful truth.
The man just wants to fight and not be bothered with any thing extraneous to the competitor in front of him.
Fedor's brain is what separates him from everyone else, and will most likely keep him on his throne until he chooses to retire.
Fedor Emilianenko exudes class and an indomitable will.
Thanks for posting Merc.

Anyway, I thought this statement was somewhat Dana-ish.
Sounds distinctly like promoting your own doesn't it? Fedor won't get the same criticism as Dana would though. Too bad Affliction doesn't really have the best HW fighters in the world. Sure they have a few of them, but the majority are fighting elsewhere.
|
I personally believe Affliction has better Heavyweight talent than the UFC. Barnett, Arlovski, Rizzo, Fedor, it had Sylvia, Rothwell and Nelson too. The UFC has some good fighters, but as far as competition is concerned, he's probably fighting for the right company.
If he were fighting for recognition here he'd be in the UFC.
