Evan Tanner Proclamations to Being a "writer"

I've always enjoyed Tanner as a fighter and I do not deny the fact that he comes off as an amiable figure in the sport, but, in reference to Rogan comments concerning Tanner's self-recognition as a "philosopher" and rugged intellectual, something is getting lost in translation: his writing and narrow-scoped perspectives are just awful. Well, not awful: just numbingly generic and void of real grammatical merit.

Agree? Disagree? I thought this might be a nice change-of-pace thread.

The way it's looking after two rounds, Tanner maybe should turn to writing. Kendall is landing everything he wants.

I feel for Tanner. He's nowhere near the level he once was.

you could be true, but the term "void of real grammatical merit" is extremely convoluted in itself. couldn't you have just said grammatically incorrect or improper.

Grammatically incorrect or improper would imply errors in sentence structure, while I believe the TS is commenting on Tanner's artistic ability as a writer. I haven't read his blogs or anything so I really can't throw in my opinion, but anyone rocking that kind of beard has to have at least a little creativity.
