End of the Octagon vs Ring Debate!!!

Have it in a ring so that the corners can be used to trap and there is less room to run away

But have the same type of cage that is used in the octagon where the ring ropes would be

This is cleary a ridiculous idea but I felt like throwing out there since this debate never seems to die

I think the whole thing is foolish since the UFC would NEVER abandon its trademarked Octagon

I am not saying this is a solution just throwing a crazy idea out there

There should be no debate concerning the UFC as it will always use the Octagon

Yeah get rid of the octagon...too much stand and pray going on...this is when you press and hold your opponent against the fence

My thoughts exactly...

But the UFC is the Octagon, and that will never change (for better or for worse).

How about we get rid of anyone who argues over this so there is no debate?

Seems like a simple solution to me

It would be cool to see them fight in a octagon shaped ring.

We have a winner.

Internet warriors can debate this until they are blue in the face, but the truth is the UFC will NEVER get rid of the fenced in octagonal enclosure. They have spent too much time and money making the octagon an integral part of the UFC brand.
