They won't do this. Nobody watches the WEC where as a UFN garners a lot more viewers and through word of mouthcan generate even more since more people have spiketv then Versus.

Great Attitude! Unfortunately for the most part you are correct. While it's not true that "nobody" watches the WEC, they certainly do not draw as many viewers as UFNs do. It is not a statement about the WEC being bad, it is the network. Versus is available in about 20-30 million less households than SpikeTV and none of the shows they carry draw high ratings. The WEC actually draws more than the NHL does, even for most of their playoff games. The WEC is one of the top draws for VS it's just that it doesn't amount to a hell of a lot of people.

Now, I have a feeling that VS would have no problem airing a live WEC event like this one for 3 hours BUT Zuffa would most likely not want the possible extra costs for them.

Thanks for the post- I wrote in to support the cause. The only time I tune into VS is when they are showing MMA events. I probably would have never seen any WEC events if it weren't for this station- not out of disrespect or dislike, but out of unavailability. Again, glad to have this channel, but only for the MMA.
