MMA NOW.. confusion..chaos? nostalgia?

MMA now to me feels a little lost.. what with the chaos of UFC attaining Pride, Randy Couture regaining the UFC HW belt, him then resigning, Fedor becoming a free agent, Fedor joining M-1, good quality fighters becoming free agents - Gomi, Barnett, etc .. the MMA world seems to be turned on its head right now. It's a crappy feeling, a year or two ago I'd be excited about Chuck fighting somebody in a month or an upcoming Pride GP. Everything now seems to be crazy, the UFC vs Pride war (which was a healthy competitive rivalry IMO) has been torn down, Pride has died; a big shock to everyone, love it or hate it. Does anybody else have this weird feeling, when looking back on MMA, where things didn't feel so chaotic? MMA is feeling very nostalgic for me now, I'm not saying its bad now or anything, it just doesn't feel quite whole at the moment??

All I care about with the sport of MMA is seeing good fights. Not fights with big names, but fights that end up being worth watching. With that being said, I can't remember the last time I watched a card where I didn't see two or three good fights; big names or not.

everything changes, nothing stays the same , I wouldn't have it any other way. MMA is so young it will be chaotic for a while longer i bet.

There are similarities between what's going on now and BJ Penn's initial exodus from the UFC some years back.
