Can't call Cane a "dark horse" at this point. He's a win or 2 away from a title shot. Banha is no secret anymore...
Hazelett...He's a ground wizard and was developing his stand up before injury.A lock to climb high on the WW ladder.
Hardy..This kid has great hands. has great range in arms and legs ( did you see that knee he planted on Davis's chin ). I also see this kid climbing high at 170...
Dos Santos...agreed with evryone...made short work of , at the time , a top 5 heavyweight in Werdum.
Cantwell...fought a great fight against a top 7 Lhw in CAne...has some chin...

Each division has a few. Here's my list of those fighters that may be somewhat overlooked at first, but has potential to be a champion someday....broken down by divisions in the two major orgs.
BW: Dominick Cruz (if it wasn't for the accident I would say Will Ribeiro as well)
FW: Raphael Assuncao, Wagnney Fabiano
LW: Spencer Fisher, Joe Lauzon
WW: Dong Hyun Kim, Yoshiyuki Yoshida
MW: Alan Belcher, Rousimar Palhares
LHW: Luiz Cane, Krzysztof Soszynski
HW: Junior Dos Santos, Pat Barry
These are just my opinions. What are yours?

Pat Barry is some wishful thinking.

How is Rampage a darkhorse, he's already been the champ.

HW: Dos Santos: His ko over Werdum was nice, he looks to be pretty quick and a really good striker.
LHW: Ryan Bader: This guys wrestling is really good and he uses it. Hes a pretty big 205lbr.
MW: Aaron Simpson: I dont know much about this guy expect he brings a very powerful agressive style. He's 5-0 all fights by tko/ko, 4 out of 5 in the first round.
WW: Mike Swick: I think Swick is gonna go right to the top and fight GSP.
LW: Gray Maynard: Such a powerful wrestler and improved standup. Dude is a beast.

Good pick. He's been really impressive even in injury against Carmelo. Big power in those hands too.
