Duane "Bang" Ludwig

One of the fighters that has impressed me the most is Duane "Bang"... I think that he could dominate in the UFC. He has already showed off his incredible skills in the UFC. I would like to see him take out hughes for the belt.

If he can work with some great grapplers, he will be a threat to anyone. His striking is already world class. I look forward to his next fights.

I didn't think Bang would have much of a career in MMA until he DROPPED Little Evil like he was a chump. Although Bang might not have the greatest ground skills, he's one hell of a striker, and Vitor Belfort in his early days had a hell of a career with his boxing skills.

Jonathan Goulet is a great up and coming fighter, and Bang DROPPED him like he was a chump. I think Bang could do well, in MMA, but sooner or later he's gonna run into a string of grapplers that put the works to 'em (like Penn did).

You make it seem like he's a rookie. He's no rookie and already established himself as legit. Wins over Pulver and Sudo are good on anyone record. A threat to Hughes? No way. He belongs a divsion lighter than Hughes and could easily be the UFC LW champ if they ever bring it back.

He's going to have some stiff competition at LW too. Hopefully Zuffa will bring in more good LWs and establish a real competitive division.

Bang fought at 155 in K1 and he said it was miserable trying to make that weight, so we should expect him to stay in the 170 division. He walks around at like 186 or so.

Bang is an awesome fighter, but hughes is too high of an expectation. He has some great wins, and if he would cut to 155 he could absolutly be dominant. He said somewhere he hates cutting weight, but its the only way he's going to stop being overlooked.

I'm not trying to make him sound like a rookie at all. He has phenominal striking skills, but his grappling skills need improvement. His KO wins over Pulver and Goulet were against calibre opponents, but he barely squeeked out the decision (and a controversial one at that) against Sudo.

There are alot of guys out there that would gave Bang a run for his money. I would love to see Goulet get a second shot at Bang. I guarantee it would not be the same outcome.
