Does the fact that Matt Hamill can't hear his corner ....

mean that it'll be easier to catch him in a submission?

i was just thinking cos every time i play this fight in my head i always see bisping catching him in a submission.

so many times i've seen guys so close to being tapped and they've escaped purely due to the advice of their corner. i know the UFC crowd is quite loud but if a fighter is anywhere near their corner they can usually hear well enough to get instructions

we all know that Hamill's wrestling skills are good enough to put mike on his back but once they're on the ground i feel that mike is quite dangerous, because Hamill can't hear his corner does this increase the chances of Hamill getting caught in a submission?

thats what i was thinking, even when he receives instructions between rounds he has to lip read so he can only get instructions from one person.

its a big disadvantage man, and he's pretty new to bjj too.

Good question but what I would like to know is what happens if the horn sounds for the end of the round, Bisping lets his guard down & Matt doesnt hear it and punches Bisping, knocking him out. Does the ref call it a disqualification?

They should have disco lights going off at the end of each round just for Matt's benefit.

Anyway it wont go past a round and he will see his corner perfectly clear when they are picking him off the matt.
