Trying to get in close to elbow a taller fighter would result in a downward hammerfist on your head or some nasty counterpunches, I wouldnt try unless I had teh guy tired or hurt bad.

yes I always thought that way, thai fighters use them alot and you can get an easy cut victory but problem when you elbow you are exposed to his elbow
